Chalk

I have always wanted to enter one the the weekly I Heart Faces photo contests, so in celebration of finally starting my photography blog I decided I would also accomplish this goal. I am really excited about this week's topic: CHALK. About 2 weeks ago I was browsing around on another photographers blog and saw some newborn photos she did using some brightly colored chalk. They were beautiful! Not wanting to totally steal her idea I have been tossing around in my head ways I could make my own fun photo using chalk. Then wow, it's the topic of the contest!!! So today after naps we gathered some of our best purple and gold attire, a purple ball to keep the baby still for a few seconds at a time, and some purple chalk. We headed up to the newly paved parking lot of the local Fred Meyer and and snapped a few shots to support mine and the hubby's Alma Mater. Here is the shot of our little huskies. GO DAWGS!!!

A special thanks to my husband who kept the kids busy while I set up, is putting up with Dora the Explorer, the baby crawling all over him, and a wife that is completely occupied with her photography. That's support! Love you, honey!
